My experience with Future Young Leaders for Humanity has been very fulfilling. I joined this initiative two years ago when SiliconAndhra had just begun constructing the Sanjivani Hospital in Kuchipudi. Primarily, I founded the ten member Princeton chapter of FYLH. Then, our team conducted bake sales in our respective schools and received donations from local neighborhoods and businesses. Though these efforts were successful, Princeton FYLH wanted to fundraise on a larger scale. After receiving immense support from the local communities, “Performing Hearts for Needy Hearts” was created. The fundraising event ran so smoothly that Princeton FYLH raised $10,000 for Project Sanjivani. On behalf of Princeton FYLH, I attended the inaugural ceremony of the Ravi Prakash Sanjivani Hospital. Until I got to visualize the product of my fundraising efforts, Project Sanjivani seemed like figment of my imagination. I’m so proud to be able to say that I contributed to such a noble humanitarian cause through FYLH.
